ASX will conduct the final Industry Wide Test (IWT3) in the production environment in preparation for go-live of Service Release 15 (SR15) on the below schedule;

The market will run through all session states on a compressed schedule to allow customers to test the functional changes including the new session states, new Trade Report codes and the FIX Drop Copy service (conformed applications only).

To assist customers in testing,

• For the new Opening Single Price Auction (OSPA) for cash markets, ASX will simulate load in securities AMC, ANZ, BHP, BXB, CBA, CSL, FMG, MQG, NAB, NEM, RIO, RMD, SQ2, STO, TCL, TLS, WBC, WDS, WES and WOW.
• For the Late closing auctions during the Post Close session state, ASX will place securities into  Pre_NR, Trading Halt and Suspend states as per the schedule.  Appendix 3 - Testing for session state changes.

ASX requests that all Trading Participants to take part in the IWT events. Vendors and AMOs are strongly encouraged to participate.

The test period IWT3 will be from 08:30am to 11:40am AEST.

SR15 Go/No-Go Decision Production Upgrade

ASX will broadcast the Go/No-Go Decision on the ASX System Status Page by 12.30pm on 21 June 2025.

What do I need to do by when?

Registration and Declaration

• Registrations for all IWT events should be completed via the attached Appendix 1 - customer registration form and returned to ASX Customer Technical Support (CTS)
• Registrations for IWT3 should be returned by close of business by Friday 14 June 2025 to confirm participation in the test. Registrations for IWT3 received after this date will not be accepted
• Participants need to specify ASX Net and ALC gateway connectivity details that will be used in the test, other access points will be disabled by ASX
• Participants must liaise with their vendors prior to the test to ensure readiness.

Test Availability and Conditions for IWT3

• During the IWT the ASX TradeMatch and ASX Centrepoint order books will be opened for transactional activity
• Good to Cancel/Good to Date orders in the system on Friday 20 June will be restored in ASX Trade on Saturday 21 June
• ASX will cancel any existing Undisclosed and Iceberg orders prior to market open
• The test is limited to ASX Trade connections for order entry and execution and the new FIX drop copy service; there will be no access provided to CHESS or Signal B
• Participants not joining the test should ensure their production sessions remain disconnected post the ASX Trade system shutdown at 20:30 AEST on Friday 20 June 2025, until the conclusion of testing on Saturday. The test data rollback will be completed ready for a normal open on Monday 23 June 2025
• The trading date for transactions performed during the test will be Saturday 21 June 2025
• User configuration changes made during the test, including password changes, will be rolled back at the end of the test and will not be available in production on Monday 23 June 2025
• Transactions performed on Saturday 21 June will not be available on ASX Trade on Monday 23 June. Participants and vendors should remove 21 June transactions from their applications on completion of the test
• Participants will be able to connect to the production environment from 8.30am on Saturday 21 June.

Testing Schedule – Cash Market

For the purpose of IWT3, all times are approximate and may be subject to change on the day.

Events will be published in real time via the System Status Page, Participants should monitor this page through the test for all updates.

Test Confirmation

On completion of the IWT test, Participants must email CTS their test status, advising of either a successful completion or a list of outstanding issues.

To confirm our Trading Participant and Vendor readiness, we kindly request attestation at your earliest convenience. If you have successfully completed IWT1 and/or IWT2, please confirm readiness for SR15 go-live by completing the attestation form here.

Attestations are due no later than 2pm on 21 June 2025.
