Austraclear Service Release 17 Scheduled for 8 July 2024

Participants are advised that Austraclear Service Release 17 (SR17) is scheduled to go live on Monday 8 July 2024. Participant testing will commence Monday 27 May until 31 May 2024.

There is no new Austraclear Graphical User Interface (GUI) or software requirement for this release and Participant testing on the weekend of implementation is not mandatory.

Austraclear SR17 includes:

• Enhanced MT564 Corporate Action Notification Message to adhere to global standards, ensuring Participants receive essential corporate action information
• New SWIFT MT578 Settlement Allegement Message to enhance information flow and drive improvements in settlement process
• Introducing a new Role and Proxy Allocation report in csv format. This report consolidates the information from the existing reports mentioned below and will encompass details such as active and inactive Austraclear users, user roles, allocated proxies, proxy roles, as well as first name, last name and email address.

                  - Proxy User Role Report

                  - Granted Proxy Access Report

                  - Received Proxy Access Report

We propose to discontinue the aforementioned reports in CSV and PDF formats unless participants expressly request to retain them. For such requests, please email Austraclear@asx.com.au  

• Remove PDF report formats that are not being utilised.

Please refer to the attached enhancements to the MT564 and introduction of the new SWIFT MT578 Allegement message. The SWIFT specifications for Austraclear have been published and are available in SWIFT MY Standards. To access the SWIFT My Standards collections, participants must have user access on SWIFT.com. What do I need to do by when?

The test environment is available for Participants to perform testing of the enhancements from 27 to 31 May 2024. Participants that would like to test outside the designated window are requested to email austraclear@asx.com.au to schedule a suitable time.
