Amendments to Rule [7100] and Schedule 10A of the ASX Operating Rules (“AQUA Rules”) and related Procedures

What's changing?

The purpose of this ASX Notice is to inform ASX Market Participants that:

  • Rule [7100] and Rule 10A.3.3 of Schedule 10A to the ASX Operating Rules (“Rule Amendments”)
  • ASX Operating Rules Procedure 7100 and Procedure 10A.3.3 of Schedule 10A to the ASX Operating Rules Procedures (“Procedure Amendments”), are being amended with effect from 30 May 2022, subject to regulatory clearance.  These amendments:
  • expand the list of acceptable Underlying Instruments for AQUA Products to include Eligible Crypto-assets;
  • set out the operating rule framework to support the ASX’s assessment of whether particular crypto-assets are Eligible crypto-assets; and
  • make related tidy-up changes to enhance the consistency of the AQUA Rules.

Effective date

These changes become effective from 30 May 2022.
