In line with ASX’s technology schedule the ASX will be relocating its secondary data centre from the current location in Bondi Junction to a new facility located in Pemulwuy.

The ASX secondary data centre (SDC) is the backup facility to the primary data centre, the Australian Liquidity Centre (ALC) and provides continuity of ASX services in the event of unexpected interruptions.

The migration of backup instances of ASX systems from Bondi Junction to Pemulwuy will commence towards the end of 2019 with a progressive implementation of ASX trading, clearing, settlement, and other ASX secondary systems throughout 2020. ASX will be contacting customers directly to discuss arrangements for circuit moves pertaining to the backup circuits for their ASX Net services. The subsequent migration schedule for these services will be communicated as soon as possible.

Details of a SDC-specific website containing more detailed updates to help customers track the progress of the project will be communicated by a separate notice.
