Austraclear Service Release 22 Scheduled for 30 November 2026

Participants are advised that the Austraclear Service Release 22 (SR22) Go-Live date has been rescheduled to Monday, 30 November 2026.

​This release includes a new Austraclear GUI. Participants will be required to perform login testing over the implementation weekend and may do so on either Saturday, 28 November 2026 or Sunday, 29 November 2026.

​Participants that send or receive any of the SWIFT messages that are subject to change should assess any potential impacts, particularly where these messages are consumed by downstream systems. We strongly recommend testing these messages during the participant testing period to ensure there is no impact at go-live. 

​The Austraclear customer test window will be available from 05 to 23 October 2026. 

​​Austraclear Service Release 22 incorporates the following updates: 

​​New SWIFT MT566 Message – Corporate Action Confirmation Message

​This new SWIFT MT566 message provides confirmation that a corporate action cash payment has been processed and credited to a participant's account. The message is designed to support straight-through processing (STP) and reduce the need for participants to manually monitor payment outcomes. Access to the MT566 message is available only to participants who subscribe to the MT564 Corporate Action Notification message. Participants can access the latest Austraclear SWIFT specifications, including the new MT566 Corporate Action Notification message, via the SWIFT My Standards portal. 

​Austraclear GUI Update: 

​File Deployment 

​Participants who access via File Deployment are required to download and install the updated Austraclear File Deployment Software package to access the system. The Production software package should be installed prior to go-live, however, it will not be available for use until the go-live weekend. Participants must continue to use the current Production software package until that time. 

​Browser Deployment 

​Participants who access Austraclear via the Austraclear URL https://asx.austraclear.com.au/Release5/ a new Weblauncher for both the Test and Production environments will be available for download from 28 September 2026. Customers will need to download and install the updated Weblauncher on their PC. Installation of the Weblauncher requires local administrator access to the participant's PC. Participants should engage their internal IT support team, if required, to complete the installation prior to go-live. This updated version is fully compatible with current production version. 

​For users of the Common Gateway GUI (HTHL), an updated version will be available for download as outlined in the table below.

​Austraclear Report Enhancements:

​The following Austraclear reports will be enhanced. Participants who utilise these reports and consume the output in downstream systems are encouraged to perform testing to ensure the enhancements do not impact their downstream processing. 

​Austraclear Cash and Settlement Instruction Reports 

​The Cash and Settlement instruction reports are currently produced at 4:28pm and 7:00pm. These reports will now be made available during the Day 2 session at 1:00pm. 

​Global Securities Report in CSV 

​Updated to include corporate action rate rounding decimals and coupon rate rounding decimals. In addition, the volume on issue field will be replaced with the issue balance which reflects the deposited amount. 

​Role Proxy Allocation Report 

​The Role Proxy Allocation report, which is currently produced monthly on the first business day of each month, will also be produced daily. 

​The changes outlined in this notice are current as at the date of publication. Further changes may be introduced as part of the release and will be communicated to Participants through updated documentation and notices.

What do I need to do by when?

There is a new Austraclear Graphical User Interface (GUI). Participant are required to download the new version of the Austraclear GUI and successfully log into the Austraclear system on the go-live weekend.

Support will be available on Saturday, 28 November, between 17:00 and 18:30, as well as on Sunday, 29 November, from 09:00am to 11:00am. Assistance will be provided to participants experiencing any issues connecting to the system.

Participants who send or receive SWIFT messages that are subject to change are encouraged to complete testing. The test environment is available from 05 to 23 October 2026 for Participants to perform testing of the enhancements.

The production file deployment version of the enhanced GUI and Common Gateway GUI (HTHL) will be published on 19 October 2026 and will be available on the Austraclear Technical Documents page.

Installation of the File Deployment and HTHL software is password protected. Please contact the Austraclear Help Desk to obtain the installation password.
