Subsequent to the launch of the Australian Morning and Evening Peak Electricity contracts, Market Participants are advised that effective 10 November 2025, ASX will delist QLD, SA, and VIC Australian Peak Load Electricity Quarterly Futures and Peak Load Yearly Strip Futures (Calendar Year & Financial Year).
The last trading day and the expiry for all the currently listed contracts for the below commodity codes will be amended to 7 November and will not be available for trading effective from 10 November.
· PQ: QLD Peak Load Electricity Futures
· PV: VIC Peak Load Electricity Futures
· PS: SA Peak Load Electricity Futures
· DQ: QLD Peak Load Electricity Strip Products
· DS: SA Peak Load Electricity Strip Products
· DV: VIC Peak Load Electricity Strip Products
The existing NSW Peak Load Electricity Futures (PN) and NSW Peak Load Electricity Strip Products (DN) will continue to operate with no immediate change.
The ASX 24 Operating Rules and Procedures will be amended accordingly with effect from 7 November 2025. The amendments can be accessed here.
What do I need to do by when?
Participants should ensure that QLD, SA, and VIC Australian Peak Load Electricity Quarterly Futures and Peak Load Yearly Strip Futures (Calendar Year & Financial Year), are removed from any front, middle and back-office systems where applicable.
Data vendors should note that data feeds will no longer include the above-mentioned products.
