ASX appoints Prime Banks annually based on Prime Bank eligibility criteria, as set out in the Prime Bank Conventions. As part of the annual process, ASX surveys participants active in the Prime Bank paper market for their views on the nominated banks. Notice 1671.20.12 was issued on 10th of December 2020 inviting feedback from participants on the list of nominated names by 6th January 2021.

There has been no change to the list of Prime Banks. The confirmed Prime Banks for the period January 2021- January 2022 are:

  • Australia New Zealand Banking group
  • Commonwealth Bank of Australia
  • National Australia Bank
  • Westpac Banking Corporation
