ASX Participants and ASX Clear Pty Limited (ASXCL) Participants were advised in ASX Notice No. 0426.21.04 dated 06 April 2021 and ASX Notice No.0489.21.04 dated 19 April 2021 of the proposed method of termination for ETOs over Coca-Cola Amatil Limited (ASX Code: CCL) under the Coca-Cola European Partners Plc acquisition for $13.32 (scheme consideration exclude 2H 2020 Dividend) cash per share.
Scheme Effective Date
The scheme was approved by independent shareholders at the scheme meeting on 16 April 2021 and the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 20 April 2021. The scheme has become effective. The last day of trading of CCL shares on ASX will be Wednesday, 21 April 2021.
Restriction of Exercise on 21 April 2021
As advised earlier, exercise restriction of CCL ETOs was effective on 21 April 2021
What do I need to do by when?
Participants should be aware of the content of this Notice as it sets out the treatment of the termination with respect to open positions in ASX CCL ETO contracts.
Termination Prices of Series
Termination will be done at intrinsic value for each series, using $13.32 (scheme consideration exclude 2H 2020 Dividend) as the reference price.
Option positions held at the close of business on Wednesday, 21 April 2021 will be closed out and cash settled at intrinsic value. Takers will be credited and writers will be debited. ASXCL will settle these cash amounts on Thursday, 22 April 2021.
