Amendments to the ASX Settlement Operating Rules

ASX is amending the ASX Settlement Operating Rules governing Specialist Settlement Participants to better reflect their role in a takeover bid under the Rules. For this purpose, a new Guidance Note 14 – Specialist Settlement Participants is being introduced together with an updated Specialist Settlement Participant application form and a new Participant Bidder Notice form.

ASX is also amending the ASX Settlement Operating Rules to align with the ASX Listing Rules concerning Principal Registers and CDI Registers.

What do I need to do by when?

Participants and parties wishing to act as, or appoint, a Participant Bidder for a takeover bid should familiarise themselves with the rule amendments and the new admission documentation.
