Stakeholders are advised that ASX Settlement will schedule the CHESS 10 release to be implemented on the weekend commencing Saturday, 10 November 2018 in preparation for a go-live date of Monday, 12 November 2018.

CHESS 10 Project Background

·       CHESS 10 is the name given to a CHESS technology release, which captures a number of regulatory and administrative enhancements for users of the ASX Managed Fund Settlement Service (“mFund”).

·       CHESS 10 replaces the majority of the current manual process occurring outside of CHESS for CRS data collection. It also includes a range of additional efficiency improvements to enhance the user and investor experience.

·       The final CHESS 10 solution is the result of operational roundtables and one-on-one meetings between ASX and participants/issuers over the past 18 months. ASX acknowledges and thanks the mFund community for their significant contribution and support during this process.

Amendments to the ASX Operating Rules Procedures and ASX Settlement Operating Rules Procedures have been made and marked up versions of these rule books are attached.

What do I need to do by when?

Participants, CHESS independent software vendors, registries and issuers are encouraged to continue to liaise with ASX over the next 4 week period to ensure they are ready for go-live on Monday, 12 November 2018.
